I came upon pastel sketches I had made many years ago of the view from my artist's loft in the SOMA area of San Francisco. The sketches depicted window frames, buildings, and the nearby skyline with its various shapes, colors, and sizes. I particularly liked the antennas - a relic of the past.
The following paintings were inspired by that experience and by places I have lived in and places I have visited. They reflect how past and present impressions shape one's creative expression.
